Holiday is a corruption of the word Holy Day. God has three annual Feast Days that are Holy unto Him and unto his servants. These annual Holy Days are, The Feast of Unleavened Bread, The Feast of Weeks or better known as The Day of Pentecost, and The Feast of Tabernacles. You might think that these are Jewish Holy Days and not Christian, but the 23 rd chapter of the book of Leviticus states, (vs. 2) 

“ Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feast of the Lord , which ye shall proclaim to be Holy Convocations, even these are my feast .” (vs.4) “ These are the feast of the Lord , even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.” These feast days, or Holy Days are to be kept as a statute forever throughout your generations.
